UNIVERSAL MONSTERS was a name given to the franchise based off of films made from the 1920’s through the 1950’s. The films are based on the characters Creature From the Black Lagoon, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Mummy and The Wolf Man. The characters, based on actors like Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney Jr, have consistently ended up in films since the 50’s and clearly hold up their appeal.
